A Place to Find Prayer and Encouragement
Healing Rooms Tavistock is part of Healing Rooms England & Wales, a Christian charity that provides free and confidential prayer ministry. Trained and experienced volunteers from many different Christian churches serve together as one team.
The ministry welcomes anyone who would like prayer or encouragement. Every visitor receives kindness, compassion and respect in a safe and supportive environment.
Healing for the Whole Person
Healing can take many forms. Some people ask for prayer about physical illness or ongoing health concerns. Others seek support for anxiety, grief, loneliness, family relationships or difficult circumstances.
Whatever brings you through the door, the team will listen carefully before praying with you. There is no pressure and no expectation. Instead, the focus remains on offering God’s love, peace and hope through prayer.
The team believes that God still heals today. Over the years, many people have shared encouraging stories of answered prayer and changed lives. Although no one can promise a particular outcome, the team faithfully prays for every person who comes for support.
When and Where to Visit
Healing Rooms Tavistock is led by René Chambers and meets at the Society of Friends Meeting Hall, 4 Canal Road, Tavistock, PL19 8AE.
Sessions take place on the first and third Monday of each month from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. A daytime session also takes place on the second Monday of each month from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. Meetings do not take place on Bank Holidays.
You can book an appointment in advance or simply come along during opening times. If you cannot attend in person, the team can also arrange confidential prayer appointments via Zoom.

Healing Rooms Tavistock welcomes everyone. There is no charge for the ministry, and there is no obligation to return. Whether you are searching for hope, need someone to pray with you or simply want a listening ear, you will receive a warm welcome.
